Louw Labuschagne

Louw Labuschagne has over 14 years of information management consulting experience in a range of different areas such as Enterprise Architecture, Data Modelling, Relational & Star Schema Database Design and Enterprise Software Development.

He is an experienced consultant in all aspects of Enterprise Architecture and has worked in this field both as a subject matter expert and as a project manager. Louw has had exposure to establishing an Enterprise Architecture capability in both a corporate and a management consulting environment. After being involved in formalising Enterprise Architecture within a mining environment, Louw joined a management consulting firm where he established and led a successful EA practice with a strong focus on mentorship and skills transfer. He also provided training services for a specialist training company.

Prior to consulting in Enterprise Architecture, Louw played a variety of roles on enterprise development projects and obtained experience using various development tools including business intelligence, and data warehouse design and implementation on SQL Server on Windows Server 2003, Progress RBMS on AIX, DB2 on AS/400, Informix on HP-UX and Oracle on Windows NT.

Louw was awarded his Bachelor of Technology (Information Management) from Pretoria Technikon in 1996 and his MBA with specialisation in IT from Bond University in 2001. He also completed his M.Tech. Professional Practice in IT degree with his dissertation focused on Implementing a BI Capability within an outsourced ICT environment. Louw is TOGAF 8.1 Certified Architect and a MicroStrategy 8 Certified Engineer.
